Creative Marketing Agency Seeks Intern
An internship at BBR Creative is your gateway to hands-on marketing experience in an agency setting. The intern will work closely with our team to support real client work and agency initiatives. Interns will be given the opportunity to explore the ins and outs of working in an agency setting and get a front-row seat into how these teams work to execute unforgettable campaigns for our clients. The candidate must be personable, professional, accountable, well-organized, self-motivated, and have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Job Duties & Responsibilities may include:
- Work directly with agency department teams to shadow, learn and get hands-on agency experience.
- Participate in a variety of meetings, brainstorming sessions and working sessions to gain valuable insight into how the agency operates, generates ideas and works on behalf of our clients.
- Provide research support for prospective clients, target industries, client audiences & competitors, key industry events, media planning and digital marketing strategies.
- Assist the media team with monitoring social media and paid media placements to ensure accuracy and effectiveness.
- Work alongside digital team members to execute various digital marketing tactics, including content marketing, SEO, social media, email marketing, tracking and analytics.
- Assist in monthly and quarterly client reporting.
- Assist with the development of sales materials and presentations.
- Support BBR marketing functions across a variety of channels including website, social media, email marketing, digital and printed collateral and more.
- Assist with database management and upkeep, including lead research, list audits, and contact updates.
- Support project planning and budgeting, timeline creation and management, capacity planning, creative review and quality assurance in the agency workflow.
- Participate in client partner meetings, gaining exposure to client-agency relationships, supporting with meeting next steps and driving projects forward.
- Assist with the creation and upkeep of meeting agendas, status reports, notes, project milestones and more.
- Hands-on support for internal agency operations tasks and employee engagement events.
Qualifications:
- Proficient in Google suite applications (e.g., Google Drive, Sheets, Slides)
- Highly organized and reliable, able to meet deadlines and maintain accurate files and records
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Positive, professional demeanor for working with clients, vendors and agency staff
- Comfortable managing multiple projects and tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Able to adapt to unexpected changes to client objectives, priorities or budgets and respond quickly; able to prioritize and manage time effectively
- Drive and commitment to producing top-quality work that meets agency and client goals
- Critical thinking skills to identify potential problems and find solutions
- Self-motivated and eager to work as part of a larger team, with a high aptitude for learning
Internship Details:
- Preference given to Communications/Marketing/Design majors, however we invite students from any college major, as well as recent graduates, to apply.
- Minimum of 15 hours per week, with a maximum or 20 hours per week.
- A standing work schedule will be determined by the supervisor with school and other work commitments in mind.
- Internships typically follow a semester schedule and run for 12-15 weeks.
- Hourly wage is $12/hour.
- Interns will be assigned a dedicated supervisor but will be mentored by various members of the team; the intern will also have ample opportunity to collaborate with and work alongside other subject matter experts at the agency.
- Interns will have a hybrid working location, with expectations for in-office working time determined by the supervisor. Interns should be able to access either the Lafayette or Baton Rouge office on request with advance notice.
- Interns earning course credit are responsible for providing the supervisor with any necessary documentation or instructions at the start of the internship and throughout the semester.
- All interns must attend a full-day, on-site orientation scheduled within the first week of the internship. The scheduled date will be given during the interview.
