Job description
We are seeking a dynamic and cross-functional IT Support Intern to join our team. As an independent contractor, you will provide technical support and troubleshoot computer issues for both internal and external customers. You will work in multiple client office environments, requiring the ability to travel independently. While the majority of the work will be completed remotely, some onsite time may be necessary.
Key Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues related to desktop computers, laptops, tablets, servers, printers, WIFI networks, and general IT equipment
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate effectively with team members, senior management, business customers, and vendors
- Assist with remote and hands-on installation, upgrades, and repairs of hardware and software
- Monitor system performance and ensure accurate and timely data transmission
- Assist with technical support for standard and proprietary desktop software
- Provide assistance with new user set-ups and standard desktop relocations
- Maintain and troubleshoot networking problems and systems
- Answer questions regarding PC/printer software/hardware issues and make IT recommendations
- Record, track, and document all ticket requests and the problem-solving process for each ticket
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Current student pursuing a degree in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field preferred
- A+ certification or equivalent preferred, education may be substituted
- Software installation, printer support, helpdesk support, computer hardware and repair experience is preferred
- Excellent communication skills and a keen attention to detail
- Ability to work efficiently and quickly and a strong desire to learn new things

Salary: $16.00 – $25.00 per hour
