Packaging Specification Data Entry Specialist
Location: East Lansing, MI
Job Overview
Specright is looking to contract new Specification Data Entry Specialists for our Spec Squad. Spec Squad will be managed by Dazmii, a spec management consulting company, who is partnered with Specright. In this role, you will use your packaging subject matter expertise to assist with data extraction, data input, and document upload for our customers. You will work cross-functionally with Specright teams including sales, customer success, and strategic partnerships. You will get the chance to work with well known Specright customers such as Johnson & Johnson, Caterpillar, Glossier, and Beyond Meat.
Specright offers cloud-based software (SaaS) that is disrupting the $1 Trillion packaging and consumer products industries. Our customers typically manage thousands to 10s of thousands of product SKU’s – across ingredients, formulas, packaging, and products. Previously, most relied on PDFs, spreadsheets, emails, and less than user-friendly ERP / PLM systems to manage all aspects of their data needs–from procurement to quality assurance. Job Details
Hours: This role is flexible for between 0-25 hours per week.
Salary: $18/hour
Responsibilities and Duties
- Communicate with customers and suppliers to collect specification data and documents
- Extract product and packaging specification data from Word, Excel, and PDF documents
- Create best practices for efficient data extraction and upload
- Follow a process for entering data from Food & Beverage, CPG, and Industrial customers
- Load data and documents to the Specright software using tools such as Dataloader.io
- Utilize Salesforce.com software platform for data entry and basic software configuration
- Learn more about packaging, manufacturing, and supply chain
Qualifications
- Current university student
- Strong attention to detail and highly accountable
- Packaging, Information Systems, Food Science, or Supply Chain class experience
- CPG or Manufacturing internship experience preferred, but not required
- The desire to dive head first into a tech startup environment
- Fast learner, team player, can-do attitude, highly organized, execution-oriented
