Dr. Robert T. Williams, Jr. graduated from Alcorn State University in 2007 where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting, from the University of Toledo in 2008 after earning a Master of Business Administration in Finance, and from Delta State University earning a Doctorate in Education in Professional Studies with a concentration in Higher Education in 2021. He also received a Leadership Certificate in 2018 from the Mississippi Community College Leadership Academy. The Cleveland, Ohio native worked in banking for Regions Financial Corporation and the Huntington National Bank before transitioning to a career in Higher Education. Before coming to LeMoyne-Owen College, Dr. Williams worked at Rust College and Southwest Tennessee Community College in Career Services and Workforce Development, and at Concorde Career College in Academic Administration. Under the Career Pathways Initiative (CPI) at LeMoyne, he assisted students in developing skills and competencies to navigate their unique career journey by offering enriched and enhanced experiences and opportunities inside and outside the classroom. As the Director of Career Services, he is further able to develop, grow, and support scholars to career attainment and opportunities beyond college life. He is also able to advocate for his fellow employee, as the Staff Council President. Robert is actively engaged in civic advocacy efforts, being a member of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People, Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated, being a board member of several community organizations, and volunteering continuously in his community.
